A.M.V.C. is a "company" in the very broad sense of the word. We are a group of individual investors or business angels if you prefer. We are completely fed up with dozens of agencies and "networks" that offer companies the promise of access to capital and then expect a large chunk of the equity for doing very little. In many cases they do not represent either the business or the investors and simply get in the way while charging a fee. So forget the middle man and talk direct to us. The worst that can happen is we say no and you walk away with free advice. We do not charge fees so we will not waste your time. Patents, copywrite and trade marks. These are the currency of new ideas. Trust nobody. Just telling a bunch of friends down at the pub can be enough to invalidate a patent. Yes it can be expensive but only a couple of thousand pounds will buy you some time. We are often asked for money to help pay for a patent application and we do but at the very least get a confidentiality agreement signed. Here is a fairly generic one that should cover it but please check with a patent lawyer. |
